Tinsukia Railway Division
Tinsukia railway division is one of the five railway divisions under Northeast Frontier Railway zone of Indian Railways. This railway division was shaped on 15 January 1958 and its headquarter is situated at Tinsukia in the condition of Assam of India. Tinsukia division is on the Lumding-Dibrugarh area. It serves Tinsukia and the encompassing regions. The venture for the transformation of the Lumding-Dibrugarh area from meter gauge to 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) wide expansive gauge was finished before the end of 1997. The meter gauge railway track prior laid by Assam Bengal Railway from Chittagong to Lumding was stretched out to Tinsukia on the Dibru-Sadiya line in 1903.
