Mumbai-Bengaluru Udyan Express derails at CST

Two-wheel trolleys of the engine of CST Mumbai-Bengaluru Udyan Express on Thursday derailed at a cross over point after its departure from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus resulting in disruption of suburban rail services. No casualties were reported in the incident after the departure of the train from platform number 17 at 8.14 am.

However, down and Up fast lines of suburban services were diverted on Down and Up slow lines, respectively, a statement issued by Central Railway said. Due to the bunching effect, suburban trains were delayed by 20-30 minutes on the main line.
