PF. 6 of Gorakhpur railway station to be closed

Lucknow:: Railways have advised passengers travelling to and from Gorakhpur railway station to check the platform for their trains beforehand in order to avoid the last minute rush.

Platform no. 6 of Gorakhpur railway station will be closed due to a 40-day traffic block starting from January 14. The platform will be closed for operation of trains due to electrification work.

The trains that operate between Lucknow and Gorakhpur will have their platforms changed. Trains like New Delhi-Jalpaiguri Superfast Express, Kushinagar Express, Awadh Assam Express, Gorakhpur-Yeshvantpur Express, Shaheed Express, Saptkranti Superfast Express, Nautanwa-Gorakhpur Express, Mathura-Chhapra Express and passenger trains will operate from platforms other than platform no. 6. The trains will operate from their scheduled platform from February 22 onwards.
