Merto Rail India Summit is India's premier forum to address the issues related to the further development of Metro Rail in India. The event features active participation of government officials, decision makers, planners, technology experts as well as project leaders to address specific challenges across key aspects like finance, planning, technology, mobility, signalling and control as well as operations, safety and maintenance.
Lucknow Metro has already been appreciated for its fast pace construction on about 8.5 km stretch of priority section from Transport Nagar to Charbagh. LMRC aims to run its first metro-rail In Lucknow before December 2016. Officials claim that the project is being completed in a record time ever. Lucknow would have two metro corridors - North-South from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport to Munshipulia crossing and East-West corridor from Vasantkunj to Charbagh. Charbagh will be the interchange junctions for both the routes.
State government has set the deadline to complete metro construction on priority section by December 2017. The remaining stretch of North-South corridor will be constructed till 2019.
